Fight for survival on an alien planet, defeating not only monsters but also other Hunters in Amazon Games’ free-to-play team-based PvP shooter Crucible. Challenge yourself in one of three modes: Heart of the Hives, Alpha Hunters, and Harvester Command. The first is simple 4v4 match where teams kill monsters and capture their hearts before their enemy does. The second pits eight teams of two against each other in a battle to the last man standing. And the third sees teams fighting each other for control of essence harvesters scattered across the planet’s surface. Players can choose to play as one of ten unique Hunters with a variety of kits. Some are heavily specialized while others have a broader focus and can use more weapons. When a match begins, each hunter already has all their weapons and abilities available. Rather than having to add those as they go along, players will instead need to choose which of these things they can level up. Leveling is achieved by collecting essence. Unlike other shooters, Crucible focuses more on strategy and pre-planning than running and gunning. Instead, make good use of your abilities, and plan ahead on your upgrades to makes the best of your Hunter later in the game. Be sure to scout out the landscape as well, to be able to use it to your advantage. Only the best strategic planners will come out on top.
