MercurySteam’s sci-fi shooter Spacelords is the free-to-play re-take on Raiders of the Broken Planet. The game features 4v1 combat where players can experience both sides of the game’s story, either as the Raiders trying to free the Broken Planet or the Antagonist. Players head to the broken planet in search of a substance known as Aleph. This substance can be used to improve combat, heal, and is crucial to most missions. However, it’s also volatile and must be absorbed quickly, before it’s gone. Spacelords’ gameplay is centered around the concept of gathering Aleph, and includes brawling, which allows players to get in close and take it off of their enemies. Players will also want to make good use of cover to keep others from getting close enough to take their Aleph. The game also contains a stress system based around Aleph. If players don’t watch their stress and keep it under control, they’ll become visible to their opponents, cover or not. Live the game’s story through a broad cinematic experience featuring over 80 scenes. Play as any one of 17 different characters that can be customized using more than 500 cards, and arm yourself with any of 70 unlockable, and moddable weapons.
