Heroes of Newerth (HON) is a free-to-play MOBA game originally created by S2 Games and now under the ownership of Frostburn Studios. HON sticks close to the MOBA traditions found in games like League of Legends and Dota while offering its own spin on Heroes and backstory. Currently the game boast over 100 heroes for players to choose from each one possessing its own unique skill set but each belonging to an “attribute category” of heroes that organizes heroes into certain playstyle templates. Controls are the typical Q, W, E, and R hot keys and gameplay follows the general “lanes and creeps” formula established in other games in the genre. Level up, push your lane, raise your skills, and buy items. HON was originally a sold product but converted to free-to-play in 2011.
